However, if we want to lead a successful and meaningful life, it is important that we choose self-esteem over self-pity; listen carefully to our inner voice rather than random opinions from others; take responsibility by making changes not excuses; become motivated by positive influences instead of being manipulated by negative ones; use our talents constructively rather than allowing them be used against us and strive for excellence over competition.
