Self control is strength. Calmness is mastery

“Self control is strength. Calmness is mastery. You have to get to the point where your mood doesn’t shift based on insignificant actions of someone else. Don’t allow others to control the direction of your life. Don’t allow your emotions to overpower your intelligence.” ~ James Allen, As a Man Thinketh

Self-control is one of the most important traits a person can possess. It allows us to make decisions that are in our best interests and helps us stay focused on achieving our goals. Self-control also gives us the strength to resist temptation, manage stress, and keep ourselves from making bad choices.

Having self control means having mastery over your emotions, thoughts, and actions – it’s about understanding yourself deeply enough to be able to regulate your behavior in any situation you find yourself in. This requires an understanding of why we do what we do; when we have this insight into ourselves then it becomes easier for use to exercise restraint or take action as needed without getting overwhelmed by emotion or impulsivity.

Calmness is another key element of self control – being able to remain composed even when faced with challenging situations shows that you have mastered your own feelings and reactions so well that nothing can shake them up easily anymore! When someone has achieved this level of inner peace they become much more resilient against external stimuli which could otherwise cause them distress or lead them down an unproductive path if not managed properly.

Being mindful about how you react will help cultivate a sense of calmness within oneself which ultimately leads towards greater levels of personal power than ever before! Having both self control and calmness together makes for a formidable combination: one where no matter what life throws at you – whether good or bad –you’ll always be prepared with the right response thanks
